Note to Transportable Customers.

Date: 5 Feb 2026

Once your new
transportable home arrives on-site and you’ve moved in, life feels great. You
can relax, settle in, and enjoy your new space. And yes — please do! But don’t
forget one very important thing.... obtaining your final onsite Code of Compliance!
(COC)

Council allows two years from
the start of a building application to obtain your COC. As the building phase
takes up a good portion of this time, it’s surprising how quickly the remaining
months fly by once you’re living in your new home. This is not something to put
on the back burner — it’s important to action it as soon as possible.

We will send you multiple reminders to complete
your onsite COC. If you're unsure what to do, we are here to help and, can even
submit the paperwork for you. If your time lapses, most the time you can
apply for an extension, at a cost, but in some cases, council can deny the
extension and make you reapply for the building consent.
